prestine paint correction in los angeles

Why choose us for a paint correction. Here in k8 auto detailing we use our tools and knowledge to make your paint look great, the goal is to eliminate swirls and scratches by 60% to 90% depending what kind of imperfections we’re dealing with. Some scratches won’t come off, meaning the scratch is all the way down to the base coat or sometimes down to the metal. We can take approximately 2 to 6 hours polishing your paint depending of your liking, We do 1 step correction, 2 steps to even 3 steps! We do recommend to maintain your vehicle after a paint correction because poor washing or poor drying can cause those swirls and scratches to come back again. We recommend a ceramic coating or wax/sealant after a paint correction, for a super glossy finish!

step by step paint correction process

step 1: tape off moldings

We don’t want to accidently polish a molding or chrome moldings. We want to protect the sensitive area’s before we began to polish.

step 2: Compound

First step is the most effective way to remove the defects on the paint, by applying a Compound liquid onto our wool cutting pad with our polishing machine.

step 3: Polish

The second step is to correct the compound phase, This corrects the marks and micro scratches it leaves on the paint from the first step and add shine!

step 4: add paint protection

The final step is to add a wax, sealant or ceramic coating based on your choice. Before applying a protection we would inspect the vehicle to see if we had missed anything.
