Wet sanding
Wet sanding is a very powerful way to get the paint in flawless condition. Wet sanding is used in auto body shops to remove dirt, fish eyes and scratches. So if you recently took your car to a body shop and saw that the body panels they painted weren’t so great we would take care of that, but there are instances where customers would like to get there car wet sand because of there dog jumping on the car or getting a random scratch at the super market. We highly recommend for a paint correction before doing this service so it would look like a flat clean surface instead of having different spots that look good while having the rest of the panel with swirls and light scratches.
Behind the scenes of wet sanding
As shown in the video above, after wet sanding it creates a dullness on the panel, customers don’t need to worry as this is normal. Wet sanding is not only good at removing scratches but also dryness on the paint. We use 3000 grit and 5000 grit, this type of grit is very light sanding on the clear coat which can easily polish off, We can downgrade the grit to 2000 for more deeper scratches. With our knowledge and skills we can simply perform this type of service on most cars.

FAQs
-
No, dry sanding is a very aggressive method, while although it does remove much of the scratch we're trying to remove it is likely the dullness will come back in a couple months.
-
Yes it depends on how deep the scratch is. If you can feel it with your fingernail it is unlikely it won't come off since it is deep into the paint or bare metal but we can somewhat minimize it.
-
Depending of what and how many scuffs you want off can take roughly 2 to 3 hours.
